Nightmare with installation of my magnapacks exhaust catback
Well I ordered the magnapack cat back from completeexhaust.com (sorry I know you match price but they are only about 150 miles form me so I got the system in 1 day). Well I got the system in yesterday about 10am so I decided to have a shop put them in (I am not mentioning the name yet since I'm have a small problem with them honoring their mistakes and it may go into legal matters). So I ask them not to heat up or weld in anything, just unbolt the flowmaster setup and bolt in the magnapacks. Everthing was in the trunk including the instructions on how to install the system.
So I wait around for them to finish the job...well they start around noon, but after 2.5 hours I'm wondering whats up. Since I can't walk into the work area I'm really getting concerned. I look through the glass that peaks into the shop and I see 3 guys under the car. Well I decide to walk outside and around to the bay that my car is located in. I find they cut up my old flowmaster exhaust and that they heated and bent hangers and the over the axle pipe. I was pissed (and that doesn't say enough), even though I gave strict instructions not to. They told me that one of the hangers on the muffler was about and inch to short and it was pulling the exhaust tailpipe up so high it wasn't able to peak out the cutout in the rear bumper. They heated up car hangers and bent them down some to be able to get things to fit.
Well when I got home with my banging exhaust I contacted carsounds (magnaflow) and talked to one of the guys their and he then contacted the garage I took it to, and also John from completeexhaust.com. They then called me back and let me know to contact the people I bought it from.
Well I contact John this morning and we talked for about 15 minutes and explained everthing I seen them do (bent hangers, heated and bent over the axle pipe). Well to make a long and annoying story a bit shorter, we both came to the conclusion that the garage is at fault. So that would actually leave me having to pay for a new kit and having it installed and then go after the garage. Well carsounds is actually still going to honor the exhaust and so is complete exhaust. So monday I should have my new exhaust kit. Then I'm going to Delks to install it since I have to have the hangers heated and rebent into place.
Then I take all the receipts for this and hand it back to the garage and demand to be reimbursed. Though I have a feeling this garage I took my car to is going to end up in freakin court.

Though I can honestly say both carsound (magnaflow) and completeexhaust.com have some of the best customer service I ever experienced. I thought I could save a few dollars in the long run and end up paying worlds more in time alone.
