what times have you guys ran on stock geared mustangs? what kind of kit (wet or dry) and what size shot, T-5 or aod and LX or GT and what kind of tires? what other mods?
I have seen a bone stock '90 AOD car go from 15.5's/ 91 to 13.6/ 101 with an out of the box NOS 75hp kit. Just remember to spray over 3,000 rpm's or you'll fry your clutch and possibly do engine damage. The only problem with juice is people use too much of it.
i know stock gears suck, but my budget decided either gears or nitrous and i drive from san francisco to los angeles at least once a month and i love 28mpg on the freeway the stock gears give me.
not sure of my own track time but on the 100shot it will pull a stock ls1 camaro and absolutely rapes lancer evos, been too busy to go to the track and probably wont in the near future thats what 40 hours a week and 21 units of upper division college get you
was just wondering what everyone else has gotten from their combos
AUTOBODY, whats your car run? that combo looks a lot like what mine will be when its done. what do you think of the combo and how does it drive on the street?
Never ran mine with good tires, but I have run 13.20's off the bottle on radials. My car is configured for autocross and thanks to the GT40,stock heads and E cam, it has a great powerband and super mid-range. The throttle-based progressive n20 controller makes it run like a big block car on the street. I would go for a dry manifold system...the Compucar installations I have seen were fire hazards.
I dont see a bottle and stock gears being a problem unless you have a really high reving setup, run a 28 inch tall tire or have an auto. Nitrous is like gear in a bottle.
