I installed a ZEX kit on my car this weekend. As of right now, I am spraying a 100 shot. To me, honestly, it does not seem to be hitting that hard. I had a 100 shot on another mustang I used to own, and it hit WAY harder than this one. It is a full bottle, NGK TR6 spark plugs gapped at .035. The timing is 2 degreese retarded right now. The bottle pressure was at 1000psi. Here are the only things I can think of off hand that might be putting a burden on this:

Even after the plug change, it still has a low RPM stumble when you are barely on the gas. Which makes me think the COP's are going bad. This could possible be hurting it.

It has the stock 3.23 gears in it. Isnt going to really give it that throw back feel like a 3.73 or 4.10 would. (the old car of mine I referred to had 3.73's)

Still running a stock clutch with 130+ miles. Slips when I powershift on motor, maybe it's slipping a little????

Dont get me wrong, you can for sure tell when I spray it. It just doesnt hit like a 100 shot should IMO.

Do you have an AFR gauge? If so, what is reading while spraying?

I dont have a A/F yet on it. I have only sprayed it about 2 or 3 times. Prob not spraying it again until I can get a gauge on it tho.

Also, the shark valve is mounted 7" from the TB

If you have the 4.6 shuffle (sputtering and stumbling associated with ignition or vacuum) you should DEFINITELY not be hitting the juice until that situation is 100% resolved.

If the clutch slips when you power shift it, then I can only imagine how much it slips when you add an extra 150+ ft*lbs of torque from nitrous.

Also, you need to take into consideration that Zex rates their kits hp at the crank. For example, an NX 100 shot is a full 100 hp to the tires, while the Zex 100 shot is more like 75/80 to the tires. My kit is rated at the tires and I use a .052 nitrous jet and a .028 fuel jet for my 100 shot.

I suppose it's because you need NOS... two of em... big ones...

Sorry, I have nothing to add as I know next to nothing about nitrous oxide systems... maybe it's time for me to get one and learn

haha it's cool. If you ever get nitrous, just dont let Johnny Tran and his motorcycle gang find you in their hood. They will shoot your car up.

Yeah i totally forgot that ZEX does that. My old kit was a NOS kit and it was rated at 100shot to the tires. Looks like the 125 shot jets are going in.

If your clutch is truly slipping already on motor, I would address that issue before you put any bigger pills in it.
