I am running a 150 wet shot and it hits really hard, and I was told by a guy at the track, if I move the nozzle further away from the throttle body towards the the filter it won't hit so hard. Does anyone have any experience with this.
thanks...

I keep my nozzle on the wet kit about 6 inches away from the butterfly on the TB - it's positioned on the INSIDE of the 90 degree bend of the CAI tube. I use a 75 shot for daily driving and 125 when I want to have fun. I wouldn't ever say its hit "too" hard. That's the point of the NOS man!

It is true that moving the nozzle further away from the throttle body will make the shot feel smaller and not as hard. With a 150, you are pushing the limits of what the engine can handle, so it may be a good idea to move it further upstream.

12.70's with the 4.10's I am against the rev limiter @6000 through the traps and usually about 106 to 110 tops. thats on street 275's and a full150 shot.

yup, I knocked a hole big enough to put your fiist through the block and that was with a 125 shot. thats why I have a forged bottom end now. my biggest problem is traction.
the 275s hook good on the streets but they are slippery at the track.

Not trying to knock you, but you should be trapping alot higher than that with your mods. I'm trapping 110 with a 100shot and mild bolt-ons. I would think with your mods, you would be over 115 mph in the 1/4.

As for moving the nozzle back, I would just invest in a set of Nitto dr's and leave it where its at.

I run out of gear, 4.10s I can't run higher in 4th gear. you are running 3.73's if I were running 3.73's it would be a higher. and if I were to shift to 5th. I would loose more time. These are street gears. I would do better with 3.73s on the track but 4.10's with a 5 speed are a great combination for the '
"street".

How did you blow a hole in your block with a 125 shot? I've been using a 125 shot for a few months now and have not had any issues. Do you have a window switch, etc?

i have a nx wet 150 shot through their plate that goes between the plenum and lower intake. mine hits very hard, but with 295 bfg dr's it hooks well in first and sticks in second. i wouldnt move it back, if anything id move it closer if your worried about stressing the drivetrain just take it down 25 or so. i would also invest in a wide band, saved my ass a few times.

You could always pill down to soften the shot

You don't want to move the nozzle too far down, the instructions of your kit will tell you where they suggest it.

I just run a mild dry kit
