The PI intake has a slightly different port shape than the NPI, and isn't a perfect match when the PI intake is put on NPI heads. The mis-match is at the top of the port?
I'm wondering if the ledge that interupts airflow would potentially cause fuel puddling when running a wet shot, which could cause a nasty backfire. Anyone run a wet shot on a swapped PI intake and how big a shot? If the interuption to flow is at the top, it probably wouldn't get the chance to puddle.
Right now, I've got an off-road H pipe and went 14.2@97mph. I wonder what it would run with nittos, a PI intake, Al driveshaft and a 100 shot? A very high 12, or low 13 probably? Consider this bench racing for now... I'm considering retireing the 2.3. It killed another turbo. Something about 22-24 psi and they start puking, and I don't really want to spend 1000$+ to go with a bigger turbo and engine management to support it.
