NITROUS QUESTION?

Guys,

Just got a Nitrous kit, looking to run a 150 shot, and know **** about juice, Can you run a mechanical nitrous gauge inside the car to keep an eye on pressure? or is that a no, no. Gauge on bottle only?

P.S. im thinking about getting a 1 1/2 small nitrous gauge and hide it, The one that usually get connected to the bottle.

Im not sure about this but isnt there some kind of isolator that connects to the line as a failsafe so you arent potnetially huffing nitrous into the cabin?

The guage is like $275. I run the guage on the bottle, just as easy and 1/5 the cost.

Not sure what isolator your talking about, there's the safetly valve on the bottle that blows when the pressure is too high, and if your not running the blowdown then you will be breathing it in. It's mixed with sulfur so if it's filling the cabin you will know it.

I know about the saftey valve, but if the fitting on the guage leaks, you will be leaking nitrous into the cabin. I am not 100% sure if they make them for nitrous guages, but i know on mechanical fuel/oil guages that run into the cabin of the car it is strongly reccomended that an isolator is used to prevent raw gas/oil from leaking anywhere but the engine bay. I would assume the same for nitrous.

ive got the Zex guage on mine, didnt come with anything like that, just teflon tape. but at 900-1000 psi, kinda hard not to hear a leak

Thanks guys, I was figuriung it would be like a fuel pressure gauge (mechanical), But never heard of a nitrous isolator for it, Thats why i was tossed about it. Dont know what to do???

Just get a bottle mount pressure guage.$50 and does exactly what you need. Or drop $300 for one on the a-pillar that does the same thing....your call
