You need a pump, doing it by heating one bottle with a torch and transfering it into a frozen bottle can get you killed. There is a place called Camaro and Mustang Heaven over in Mobile Alabama, one of the guys there was trying to fill a bottle and used an acetelyne torch to heat one, it blew up and blew him to pieces and I cant remember but it either killed or injured another guy.

cctinnell said:I totally agree. I have my own filling station and the bottle is located upside down. Also make sure the bottle you are filling up is very cold, it just makes it easier and faster to fill.

Because N2O isn't flammable![]()
Nitrous Oxide (N2O) is a colorless, nontoxic, nonflammable gas with a slightly sweet taste and odor, which can be used as an anesthetic agent. Nitrous Oxide is an oxidizing agent under normal conditions. Shipped as a liquefied gas under its own vapor pressure (745 psig @ 70 °F).
bluevenom867 said:Most likely a pressure explosion, from a bad bottle/valve. Ill have to look, but I think the NHRA may require the bottle to be certified ever few years. They do this for oxygen tanks for tourch set-up's and stuff,I forget what exatly its called, but they test it by pressuring the bottle and measuring how much it expands, then they got a chart or somethig, and if it expands to much for a given pressure, the bottle needs scraped. Of course, not everyone will throw out a bad bottle, cause they think its still ok....
