Would a 35-50 dry shot of nitrous be ok for a vortech supercharged cobra with a air fuel ratio of high 11?? Just wanting to get that little extra boost, and get my torque up a little
You'd likely gain more of a cooling effect from the nitrous than actual power from it with this combo...but cooling is power too - just want to clarify how it would make the power. And because of the cooling, it allows higher AFR and/or timing. My 2 cents - this should be safe.
Yeah I have heard of people spraying a small shot for cooling, I do have an aftercooler to help cool the air, but I believe the nitrous still would help me greatly
Think I will start with a 35shot then maybe a 50shot, dry should be fine right?
ALso where would I spray it at, before the mass air is what I have heard??? Is that right, that means it will go through the mass air, supercharger, aftercooler, and then enter the engine. Anyone got any ideas??
Thanks that sounds good to me, anyone ever used the shad shot nitrous system, just wondering how good this kit is. Think I would be ok spraying a 35shot without getting a retune??
A local cobra owner is using a NX kit with a 35 wet shot he saw an increase of 56rwhp with it. Build motor, vortech, etc..
Personally I won't do a dry shot on your combo but that's just me. Can you monitor your AF ratio? if so then you may not need a tune just watch it. Of course the safest action would be to go put it on a dyno with a wideband and at least check everything. Have you considered going with the Watermethanol injection?
