im piecing together a kit now for my street car... guess what... id put the 60's that i plan to run in it up against any blower or turbo car running a close engine combo.
ive had blowers ive had turbos ive had nitrous... nothing hit like nitrous does off the line... end of story.biggest advantage a blower or turbo car as is they make big mph out the back.

You still didnt answer the quesiton.. how is nitrous "absolutely no fun"

We all know the disadvantages of nitrous VS blowers and turbos in a street car. But i dont see how anyone could say that an instant 150+ hp is NO FUN. Its really alot of fun, and while ive never done crack, i can only assume that nitrous is just as addicting.

FWIW, its $35 bucks to fill a 10 lb bottle here in MA at a welding supply store.

I apologize, nitrous is fun for 10 seconds at a time every once in a while. So remove the word absolutely in my comment and replace it with "barely".

Funny, you guys claim that only people that haven't used nitrous have a distaste for it, i see it the other way around. Most that have used it on the street realize it's not all that great or cost effective and gave up on it years ago.

I agree with 2000xp that if it is a pure street car, nitrous is not the way to go.

Lol this is not gonna be a pure street car? who said that? And i know all about nitrous! I have a full set up on my srt8 jeep and i love it. You guys can hate on nitrous all you want to but im content with spraying the hell out of everything i own...Each is to there own i have my fuel injected nitrous set up now i wanna go with a carb nitrous set up...i dont wanna have to worry about an ecu and all that i wanna make this a simple cheap and nice set up....You guys (mob and 2000xp8) were no help at all and all u did was start a pissing match bashing the whole nitrous idea. We will see where it leads me. Like i said up top i just picked up the 302 with the edelbrock preformer heads and a f cam in it..im gonna go with an air gap intake and a 4 barrell carb not sure what size or which brand yet probally a 150 shot of nitrous. The car is only going to have 2 front racing (Bucket seats) and carpet in the interior. Im gonna go with a tubular front k member and upper and lower control arms front and rear. Im gonna lock the rear with a spool and go with a set of skinnys up front and a 275 drag radial to start and if it dosent hook with them im gonna put a set of slicks under it. Im not worried about this car breaking if it breaks or i should say w.e breaks and as it breaks i will build it! Im gonna start a build thread and just follow along if you want to but as for the bashing/ pissing match keep that to your self! Thanks to all of you for the good sugesstions!

I think you will have good luck with the radials as long as the suspension is right
