no backlight in gauge cluster

hello, new here. just bought my 2001 mustang about 3 weeks ago. I was driving it home in the day so I didn't notice but when it got dark I noticed there is not backlighting on the gauge cluster. like the pins are lit up but none of the numbers, (see pics) so I was talking it about today and found a random unplugged connector(see pics). so I was wondering if someone could shed light on how to fix my issue, thanks

the brake light indicator and all of those come on when applicable.
