I dont know if any of this is true or not, but its a rumor thats going around.

In addition to Shelby and Ford making companies change their business name if it has the word Mustang, Shelby, Cougar etc... in it.

There's a rumor they are also going to make these companies stop selling aftermarket Shelby parts to people who dont own actual Shelbys.
No more Shelby hoods, scoops, truck lids, emblems or anything that is shelby associated to people who dont own actual Shelby cars. I guess they dont appreciate the clone /restomod idea.
Goodbye Branda, Mustangs Plus, Mustangs Unlimited, California Mustang etc...
thanks Ford/Carroll!

Note: This is a rumor I heard, and I dont know if its true or not. I hope nothing like this actually happens.

As I understand it, the Shelby deal is strictly Carrol Shelby and not Ford. Ford is clamping down on anyone using Mustang, Stang, etc. because they have to protect their product names. Ford wanted to bring back the Futura name but since they did not challenge Pep Boys when they called their tires Futura, Ford lost the name and the lawsuit.
It's a real pain where we sit right now but the hobby will survive all of this. I feel sorry for all the people who provide parts and services to us who are being dragged over the coals but I do understand why it is happening.
