Hello all,
I was running my 97 Cobra at Auto Club Speedway (Fontana) on the Road course yesterday and lost power steering and most of my brakes at the same time. (Kinda crazy at 100mph+ going into a corner). What broke???
Thanks in advance.

Beyond the belt which I guess you looked at. We would need more info for a diagnosis,
but I imagine what ever it was it included Your grip on your sphincter, Holy Crap Man!
Glad your OK, you are ok right?

Considering the hydroboost brakes and steering both run off the power steering pump, and I assume the belt didn't fall off, I would start looking at the PS pump and lines and fluid level and such.

Ya, I should have included more info... Belt is on, no fluid leaks, ps fluid level is good.

I'm fine, I kept it on the track, didn't hit anything or anyone, drove to the garage...

If I decide to replace the ps pump, is the hydroboost part of the pump or a separate item?

How hard is the ps pump/hydroboost to replace?

TIA
