no smog pump with no idler pulley

i have no a/c and i have that idler pulley in place of the smog pump but i'd like to run it without the idler pulley is there a way to do this ?

yup get a shorter belt and run it past where the smog pump was..problem solved..the hardest part is measuring the length of the new belt and isnt that hard with a strong piece of string that doesnt stretch to do it accurately, good luck

you need a 84.5 inch six rib belt (this is fine even with underdrives) and you have to thread the belt the opposite way of standard, did mine the other day, no problems so far here is a link with a pic of what you have to do
