My car isnt starting. I pulled the plug wire that goes to the coil to see if it would spark when I started it. Its not. I replaced the coil, the module, and the wires and it still wont start. Any ideas?

One other thing.... once the motor is warm (after repeated start attempts) it will start.

Have you tried pulling codes yet? I would check the #1plug wire as well for spark, u could just hold it near the block while it cranks and it should spark.

Also, have you changed anything before the problem started?

I didnt change anything before it all started... it just started doing it one day and got progressively worse. Now it wont hardly start at all. It wont spark to the coil, which sparks before the #1 wire.

Maybe the pickup coil inside the distributor?

Had the same exact problem, it was the pick up module in the distributor.

How are you going about testing the coil for spark? Are you just removing the coil wire and hopeing to see a spark from the coil terminal?

Yeah, pickup coil in the distributor. I picked one up for about 30 bucks at autozone after trying to figure it out for months... and months is all i've owned the car for! You will have to pull the distributor to get at it though, and haveing a press would be good to get the thing apart. After that it's a piece of cake.
