no spark

okay how do you know what number is 37 and 57 on the computer plug? also on the white and black connecter how do you hold it so it is in the position that the picture you posted shows. i tried to test them last night but cant figure out how to hold them to where they are in those positions.
 
You have already said you have 12 volts on the red wires to the injectors.

That tells you there is 12 volts to pins 37 & 57 since they both get power from the computer power relay (EEC relay).

You are back to the fact that you have no PIP pulse to fire the ignition or fuel injectors. Your "new" distributor may be DOA. I suggest you take it back to where you got it and get another one.

man i can't thank you enough for all your help i got her started today and she sounds awesome. she has a little knock when i throttle her up but i think it is just the timing off a little. thanks again for all your help and the excellent diagrams. i will get the radiator and all of her put together throughout next week and let you know how she drives. thanks again.
