Ok heres the problem, since I installed my last 2 motor combos it seems as though the car doesnt respond to the spout being plugged in. Say I set the timing to 10 degrees it will stay at 10 whether the spout is in or not. I have tried different distributors and different spout connectors and nothing has changed. I currently just have the timing locked but this is difficult because of the 11.5-1 compression starting is hard. Does anyone have any idea what could be the problem here? I did a mass air conversion if anyone thinks that may be part of the culprit.

also a second question, when i try to start the car I have to try about 3 times before it stays running. It will start then stall immediatly and if it idles for a few seconds it is very rough and if I give it gas or any thing it will immediately shut off and I have to keep doing this until it just starts running fine. Any ideas on this as well? Thanks in advance, Jay.

It would be helpful to post up the codes.

I'd also check the SPOUT circuit's wiring for an open.

Good luck.
