You can DEFINITELY get either plan when you order. This is sometimes the only option, depending on the options you want. If they are on the lot (The GTs sell VERY fast), talk to the GSM and work it out. One less car they sell if they say no.

I had to settle for a 4.0 test drive, because in Dallas / Austin, the GT 5-speeds were all sold before I got the chance to drive one!

I had to order, because I wanted Mineral Gray. Don't mind the wait at all... LOL!

X-Plan is not limited to companies afiiliated with ford. I work in the oilfield, and my compayny get X-plan for ford and GM. We buy alot of cars though. Im sure there are other companiesl ike that to. I have a weblink I got to, and get two x-plan pins per year.

From what I've been told, they can't deny selling the car to you.

Participation in any of Ford's discount plans (A,D,X, and Z), is purely optional on the part of the dealership.

There's also an X-Plan program for Ford Employees to give PINS to their friends and families.

There is also a program running right now for Ford's union employees to give out a limited number of A-plan PINs. Plus, if they "sell" a certainly number of Ford vehicles, with a combination of A-plan and X-plan, they get a model Ford GT personally autographed by Bill Ford.

Apparently, Ford has realized that the number of plan-sales is not trivial, and a sale is a sale. So, basically, they are trying to hard to encourage employees (management and union) to help sell Ford vehicles to friends and family too.

Disabled vets can also get x-plan. Forgot what he (father) had to do to get that card he carries with The pin #.
