noise coming from aluminum ds??

ever since i installed it, it had a noise coming from under the shifter area.....now im starting to get alot of noise from the rear end area....i bought the driveshaft used.....could the ds need to get balanced??

U joints? Or something stupid like a plastic bag wrapped around it?

I don't think it's the U joint - that would be rattling IMO like my old one did. But maybe it's not balanced??

you can really hear the sound in 3rd 4th and 5th.....it will whine down when the car decelerates as well....i was drving next to a wall today and i could hear some sort of light scraping noise from under the car, it kind of sounded like a paper bag under the car....but i dont think a bag under the car will make the whining noise it makes...the noise is obviously annoying

This is may be a stupid ?. But have you looked under the car. If it sounds like a scraping noise the DS may be making contact with the muffler flange or something. Look for grooves in the DS. Peace
