ok guys,

I was letting my car idle in the driveway and i heard this intermittent hissing. I got my stethoscope out and listened around and it is coming from the fuel rails (pass side) and when it makes the noise the idle kinda hiccups. I sprayed wd40 around the intake in that area and it did nothing for idle.

I have been trying to track down a fluctuating/inconsistant a/f for a while now and I'm hoping it may have something to do with this. Could it be the regulator?

Ideas?

thanks,

Drew

that's what I was thinking also. Has anyone on here had a regulator crap out on them? Does it slowly start leaking out the vac port or does the rubber burst and spray gas out the vac line. Like I said, it smelled like gas but it's not like there was raw fuel in the line..

from what i understand is that it leaks the vac until it wont hold it anymore. mine act like its not getting enough fuel then all of the sudden it picks back up. Got the fuel smell in the vac line and all. Going to put a new adj fpr on it as soon as i can shake some funds free.
