noise??

i have a 87 TC and it has some sort of knock/exhaust leak....but if i had a leak in the manifold wouldnt i be able to feel the air onto my hand if i put it down there? i thought it was those two bolts coming from the downpipe to the turbo, but i felt no air from there either....is there something in the VC messed up or could it actually be a exhaust leak? help needed thanks

When can you hear it? All the time, only at idle?

basiclly whenever the car is on, the guy i got it from says that there is studs missing, but wouldnt it put out more air if you put your hand there?

umm, its not really broken off too far, i know that there is no nut where there is supposed to be one and it is 'flat' where the stud is supposed to go, i put my hand there and it seemed as no air was coming out
