I am looking to buy a supercharger for my Mustang GT and i have some money saved up to buy one. I was going to buy a Non-chargecooler one, but my friend is telling me to buy the chargecooler. Which one is better for you engine and what is the power difference? Would it be worth the extra money?
thanks

an intercooler will definatley boost power levels up. they give a cooler intake temp which = more power. the vortech cooler seems to make the least power of all, but do a little research and all you answers are there. depending on the supercharger you buy, it is worth the money. do a quick search for supercharger and there are a bunch of threads that will answer most everything for you.

You will see 25-50% higher gains from an intercooled unit. This is due to charge temps at full boost being within 5 degrees of ambient (AIR TO AIR).

For example... You can spend $4K and go 13s, or spend $5k and run 11s safely.

If you want a really fast car, which I guess you do if you're looking at a blower for it.

Get the best kit your money will allow, even if it means waiting a coupple of extra months.

Personally I would be tempted to wait a bit and see what compnies like Kenne Bell are going to offer for the 05 GT, there are already some out there, but actual power outputs seem a little scetchy as there are reports of 350rwhp and claims of upto 475rwhp all for similar'ish money.
