May be a dumb question but I've never been to a tuner before. If you happen to have upgrades but still running factory computer, without a chip is there any value in going to a tuner? Saying it another way, is there much that a tuner could do if you are not running an aftermarket "tunebale" ecu?

Moates Quarterhorse is back as an option. Probably what i plan to do when the time comes for me to need a tune. Runs off the stock ECU.

Tuning (in my opinion) is based on how the modifications were done.
What modifications have you done?

currently, just edelbrock rpm intake, 75mm TB and intake, BBK shorties, underdrive pulllies, 3g alternator, 3.73 gears
once my vortech kit comes (any day now) 5-6lbs boost, 6:1 fmu, 30lb injectors & MAF, walboro 255 pump, colder plugs

I can obviously adjust the discs in the fmu if AFR looks rich

I had heard that, looked at the website but seemed to me with hardware and liscenses, its already 1/2 or more to the cost of a megasquirt.
