Hmmm, i was always told that "you are a clown" if you run nitrous, and boost no matter what the setup. Hmm is this true? I want to rebuild my 88 5 oh, to a stroker 331, with ofcourse forged internals, and install a powerdyne supercharger on top (6psi), would it be too much to add a kit with about a 75 horsepower wet kit ( zex) shot?

Lots of turbo guys run a 50 shot or so to get rid of turbolag. If your bottom end is built like a brick **** house go for it.

i guess you could do it but when some N/A guy comes along and wastes you at the track and you have 2 power adders you would feel silly.

Just run 9 lbs of boost or a 150 shot of n20. OOOOr what I want to do is run my 9lbs of boost and have a 50 shot for 3 gear. Still haven't got much of a response on that

I was thinking of running the same setup also. Im gonna get a blower for sure, but the budget is low right now, so i was thinking bottle for now and charger later.Looks like everyone thinks a pulley change to add more boost is the way to go if you are blown and want more power.

that is true. after a 1/4 run if you are running NOS and you feel the intake it is cold. But seems like a better idea is to run a inter cooler then to use nitrous to do the job. nitrous isn't going to last aslong as the intercooler will.

Dont't need it in 1st and 2nd and it would hard to hook without mini tub my rear. I also don't want to blow my engine, stock lower half and I'm pretty close ot the limit I think. but a little extra juice in third and forth when needed would be great.

hmm. i always thought if someone had a big red nose, floppy feet and communicated in honks and squeaks they were a clown... and using laughing gas never seemed to be a part of the whole image... baffling. seriously, though i know alot of people who use a combination of moderate boost and laughing gas - and keep in mind they have well built engines. so i say if you know how it works, you know your car and it's limits, go for it. ( or in clown language squeak squeak honk honk honk ). i've used a zex kit on my 90 lx with a stock bottom end for a few years and never encountered a problem. granted i did have the engine rebuilt, but that was as much for longevity as anything.

Never done it personally but I don't see why not? I know a lot of 03 Cobra's are doing it with no problems. Just make sure you get the thing tuned at a place someone has experience with this. This will most likely be your answer depending on if any of your tuners want to tackle that.

oh yah if you are going to spray don't forget to take 2 degrees of timing out for every 50hp shot of juice.

I've got a buddy of mine with a Chevy ss truck running a procharger at 12lbs.
He put a 75 wet shot on it and dropped 2 10ths in the eighth. I drove it a couple weeks ago and ran a 7.43 at 88 mph. awesome truck at 5000lbs!

The 75 shot really lowers the air charge temp.= HP

Lol, regardless of what internals you have, your stock block will never handle a stroker setup and dual power adders....

The stock block is far more limiting in terms of rwhp, than the internals. Youll find yourself becoming a member of the 2 peice block club.
