I heard a certain KB Cobra the other day that sounded like a space ship at idle..A very weird whistling sound..Not like a Gator Back belt..What the hell
You sure it was a KB? Unless they are using a cog drive or a GB belt with a no-slip pulley they're usually pretty quite at idle. The new 2.6 & 2.8's are even more quite than the original 2.2.

The only drawback to a cog drive is they provide no room for error. If the SC fails and locks up the cog drive will want to keep spinning everything and it can potentially cause some serious damage. Cog drives are usually not recommended for street use.
