NOS question

hey guys i am thinking of getten some nos i have every bolt on known to man on my 96gt auto! car is running bad ass but the only problem is my trans is all stock do you think it will hold a shot or what!!!!!

Have you swapped any PI parts onto your car (heads, cams, intake)? If not, I would look into that first.

i do have the pi head swap! i not going to put the full 125 shot i was thinking more like 50 or so????? what you think???

I have a 100 shot.. if you think you will make over 350 RWHP upgrade your clutch... of course if you have all the boltons, you should already hve one.

I'm not sure how strong the newer trannies are, the original AOD wouldn't stand up to anything. A 50 shot shouldn't hurt it, even 75 or 100 may be safe. If the stock pistons are hypereutectic, I wouldn't go any higher...

Whoa...........wait a second. A little research onto Steeda's site shows that your engine has a Cobra crank, Manley forged rods, and forged pistons.

People that say bad things about nitrous aren't knowledgeable. I was scared of it as well until i got it on and tried it. just be careful.. get an EGT guage to keep an eye on your exhaust gas temp.. when its too high is when you melt things.

I vote for a 255lph fuel pump if you dont have one and with that bottom end I say 150 to 200 shot and HOLD ON .

I rode in a fox with a 300 hp at the flywheel , with a 500 big shot kit on it , fastest street car I have ever sat my a$s in thats for sure .

if you really have the money, I would say get the Nitrous Express EFI wet kit. NX gets very good gains and their nitrous set-up in pretty safe w/ the GenX2 upgrade and a good tune. Slap a PI Stallion torque converter in your tranny and get the Jerry Mod done. You can search on Stangnet and find more about the Jerry Mod. Then buy a tranny cooler so your tranny will survive a lot longer!! I dont know if you have gears, but if you dont get some as well. That would be a mean set-up at the strip as well as on the street. Oh, if you dont have the PI head swap done, that would be a big boost in performance as well.

Anyone have input on NX's NXL direct port kit? It's a fuel rail replacement setup. Sounds pretty nice, no worry of puddling in the intake.
