Gotta question. When you hit the brakes hard, and the car nose dives, does that have to do with the brakes or the suspension? If I upgrade to better brakes, would that have any affect on this? What can I do to stop this from happening.

That is just the way Mustangs are man... You might be able to reduce it a little with suspension mods and braking technique but it will always do it...

I would think the type of 'nosing over' you describe is more likely to be down to suspension (springs and shocks) than brakes. In fact if you uprate the brakes and pull the car up harder it's likely to nose over just as much, if not more so. I think you would need to stiffen up the front end to reduce or eliminate this.

I installed the Steeda GTrac suspension kits, and they SIGNIFCANTLY reduced the dive. The biggest change was after installing the front and rear control arms, and the strut tower brace.

what do control arms do? People are always talking about getting these for drag racing also, saying it helps you hook up a lot better.

The aftermarket ones have many benefits, and better features than the stock ones. They are typically stiffer, have better bushings, and help keep more rubbah on the road.

But they don't help with the dive as much as the strut tower brace. My car is more setup for road courses, instead of drag, so I found the best result from the brace, and the control arms. Some draggers have found their 60' times are generally GREATER after control arm installs...

It's just the way mustangs are period.
A Eibach Pro kit or Sportlines,Steeda
Subframe connectors,Steeda upper and
lower control arms will help reduce the horrible
nose dives and body roll.
