last year i dyno'd at 223 hp this year it wasall i could do to get 200! only difference in the motor is i added underdrives and my mech bumped my timeing from like 18 back to stock 10 one day when i took it in for a trany prob. (i trust the guy so i really didnt care even though my car was a dog it did fix my temp problem) car did not spark knock at 18 so should i bump it back up?

take it to 14-16 , with gas like it is you could still run 87 if you got in a pinch ........

1 degree of timing can be good for anywhere depending on conditions from 1-5hp at the wheels on something not running a power adder , its worth even more if you add boost or nitrous .......
