not mustang related, but tech, 87 ranger. help

ok here is the problem, my dad has an 87 ranger, and he installed an oil seperator on the truck, the engine has around 230k miles on it. now the bottle on the seperator is filling up with a mix of water and oil, he replaced the head gaskets, and it was leaking through there. also he replaced the water pump gasket and timing chain cover gasket, but there is still water ending up in the bottle, any one have any ideas how the water could be getting in there, crack in the block maybe. any help or ideas would be appreciated, it has a 2.9 v6 engine.

it runs great except for that minor/major problem.

could be a cracked head as well, or a warped head.

The heads are probably cracked. Real common on 2.9's.
