I don't know what happen to my manners
I just come on the boards and start posting all over the place and everyones prob saying who the hell is this mofo.

JR here. I use to be screen name 5.0 Venom until I got BLOWN over the winter.
My wife Stephanie and I frequent all the Ford events and we have been off the boards a while after having our first child.
I have a 94 Vert that I used to show but am in the process of turning it into an all out drag car. I have lots of mods left to do and my goal is just for 500 rwhp and 1/4 times somewhere in the high 10 and low 11's range by the end of summer. My fastest time has been 12.78 @ 109 last year in the fall before I added the Vortech S-Trim on a 100 shot of n2o. I have yet run 1/4's so far this year b/c I don't have the roll bar yet.
I was excused from the track last year after posting the 12.78.
So I have been practicing my 60's and 1/8 mile times this year until I get the bar and so far I have had it on the track once this year.

Nice to be back on the boards and filling my head with all the Stang knowledge again.

question... How long did it take you to get your car like that and did you do all of the polishing work or was it allready done for you?

Good to have you back JR. My wife is on the baby kick right now and is itching to start a family, so I'll be in your boat soon enough! So you are going for an all out drag car now? I see you got a new top and it looks GREAT! Mine is starting to show signs of wear and will need to be replaced sometime soon. Where did you get "excuded" from? Luckily I've been good to go with my roll bar everywhere I've gone, but with my ultimate goal of 11's, I know that I won't be so lucky if and when I run that well. Will you be at Mason anytime soon? If so let me know and I'll come down, I live in Altoona now and its only like 1.25-1.5 hours from here. Hope to see you at Carlisle if you can make it.

Paul,

The part about having to sell the car or no $$ to mod....is just a myth.

I was @ Mason last weekend for the NVMC club drag day and our next one is on the 22nd, you and your father should come out from 8-12 it's all ours $30.

I was @ Capitol in MD when I ran the 12.78. I was looking into putting a $400 Autopower for an immediate answer to my rool bar dilema but I was told by a salesman @ Auto Power that an NHRA official could tell at a glance its not legal.
I plan on running in a couple Fun Ford events this year and want to be 100% legal, so I am having a custom one built for me locally.

I just keep doing other mods cuz stuff keeps breaking. I added a 10-12# pulley and lifted the heads over the weekend so now my motor is completely broke down to the shortblock. So I hope to be back up in the next 2 weeks.

1105,

I did it all myself over the winter, I can't see paying for something I can try and do myself.

JR, I'd love to come down to the NVMC event. I wondered if they still did that. How do I go about being able to attend? I think I emailed Ceece last time, but that was like 2-3 years ago. I don't have his email anymore, nor do I know if he is still the guy I need to talk to. Any info would be appreciated, you can email it to me at killercanary@hotmail.com

Is that being serious or not... the roll eyes has me wondering. My mother-in-law keeps telling me that I'll still be able to mods the car and such, but that doesn't seem to be the popular thought... most tell me to kiss my racing days good-bye. I hate to be selfish but I don't want to give that up. Hell, that is why I finally broke down and bought my wheels now because I know kids are in my near future.

BTW- did you have a boy or a girl, and what did you name him/her?
