Hi everybody. I just got my 89GT about a month ago. Today while behind another car with my turn signal on, I saw that only the inside light blinks when I put on a directional. I would have thought that both lights on each side of the headlight would come on, or at least if only one light blinked, I think it should be the one on the corner of the car. I checked the rear lights with the directional on, and again the inside lights blink, not the outside corner ones. Is this right? I thought all cars had to have directionals that are visible from a side profile view of the car. Please help.

That's the only one what blinks... the outside light is just a parking light...

ya its really dumb. your supposed to be able to see the signals from a certain side angle too i beleive, kinda like why cars have side markers if they have signals like that (I.E. the cougar)

id like to switch em around, but they are completely different...oh well

Henceforward

I rewired mine where the inside blinks, and the outside blinks .

Lights off = Both Blink at same time
Park Lights On = Inside Blinks/ Alternates with Outside
Headlights On = Inside Blinks/ Alternates with Outside

I have a wiring diagram on another computer, I will post it up in a few hours.

Takes 20 Minutes to rewire.

Yeah thats normal, I noticed that too and thought it was weird. Oh well, its an excuse to be able to run clear corners with clear bulbs. Except my bulbs are so old they look orange compared to my silverstar headlights.

with my diamond cut clears I just switched out the clear bulb for a yellow one and made the driving light in the headlight assembly the turn signal, and kept both parking lights solid. Like the new Rangers and F series trucks have.
