Id like to open a discussion about a new rear wing for notches. I have a notch and have always been of the "No body kit" look for the cars, except for a hood. I believe that alot of us dont have rear wings due to the fact that there just arent any out there that screams,"I gotta get one of those!" Well, I might try to change that.
I want to get with a manufacturer to see about making one and possibly make a mold. Both for personal and business investment purposes. I know the workings of molds and cost, etc.
What Id like to know is, what kind of design is on the minds of people who would like one, but hasnt seen anything nice enough yet?
Id like to start with something that resembles the 03-04 Cobra style, and go from there. If you dont like that and have different ideas, then post them. Im not a fan of the 7-up type spoilers either.
How much degree of an angle for the up slope? How tall? How wide, past the lid and overlapping the top of the rear quarters?
Im going to start digging around, if youd like to help, then great.

The only wings on notches i have seen that looked good, are the flat drag style wings. 1 or 2 people have pulled off saleen wings on notches, but everything else has to be perfect for it to work.

The little duck fin is like the only one i would say looks like it should be there. Other than that i vote no on the wing on notches all together

O.K. then my opinion is that no one would be able to design a wing that would look good on a notch!!!Better?

As much as I hate spoilers on a coupe, I would love to see what an ASC McLaren spoiler would look like on a coupe.

It would most definitely have to be a wing that perfectly suited the car, would definitely be a tough chore to win over the coupe crowd for sure!

As stated, only flat drag-style wings or ducktail "lip" spoilers seem to be acceptable by the masses (and me) for notches. I wouldn't want to throw something fiberglass or ABS on the trunk of my notch, though. Maybe a simple sheetmetal design would be best - just roll/weld the edges so it has a nice finished look to it, primer it, paint it, and call it good. I would make one up, myself, but I don't have a huge sheetmetal brake to make the 45* bend ... although I wonder if I could just take it to a machine or body shop and have 'em give it a tweak...?

92-93 LE wing or nothing else

Saleen wings look good if you have the rest of the kit.

Good opinions here. I just wanted to know what you would want, not what is already out there. Duck tail wings are what people would like to see apparently. There is an ASC Mclaren wing picture in the search area. It looks alright, but not very inspiring.

That makes it looks too much like a Grand National or a Monte Carlo.
