My father and I are in the process of building a 89 Notch. He would like to replace all the glass in the car and companys that carry this? Especially the rear glass. Seems hard to find. He wants rear glass like my 87 mine has no rear defrost. Any help would be appreciated if you happen to know a company that carries all this. So far ive only checked latemodel and all I seen was quarter windows for 300+ dollars....

It's called supply and demand. Carlite hasn't made glass for our cars in a long time, they came across a bunch a while back in a warehouse and released them. This dropped the price for a very short peroid and I grabbed a set for my restotation. didn't take long for the stock to disappear and the price to jump backup. The NOS glass is much better IMHO.

to the OP, good luck and be willing to spend. certian NOS stuff just doesn't hit the market often so it commands higher prices. I have been doing a restoration and searching the last few years for NOS parts for my project. some NOS stuff is pretty common and pretty cheap and can be found at places like LRS, fox body resto, etc. It's when you want the hard stuff you need to search hard, make phone calls etc. I scored interior parts, glass, etc. Ebay will have stuff every now and then, the owner of Fox resto helped me and put me on to a couple of places and Jim at PPI helped me also. best of luck and have fun.

You'll prob spend more than what you paid for the car for brand new NOS glass all around. Stuff is hard to come by and expensive.

NOS rear window without defrost will prob be about $1K if you can find one

Might be harder to find a rear window for a notch I agree but I got my front windshield NOS carlite for $275 in the box. I have found others for that price. I did a quick check of ebay and found a brand new NOS carlite rear window for hatch for $350, so they can still found for much cheaper than the damn quater glass.

I would have also but mine where border line, the mustang wording on one side was faded and for some reason bubbled in a spot and the PO had a mustang horse sticker on the inside of both windows on the glass for so long that when I scraped it off the image was burned in ( I had to put a sticker on the outside just to hide it, looked really bad). I wrote that set off and decided at that point to just buy new. the new set cost me under $800 for the pair brand new.
