I got a great deal on new diamond pistons and rings for my "budget" build. But they are notched for a 4v head. Will they still work with my 2v heads?? I snatched them up, I can gain my money back if they won't work. Will it effect compression?

Pretend the notches aren't there as they will do nothing on a 2V

So none of the current notches will help with valve clearance, in my 2v?

You had better clay the motor anyway
Sure it will lower the compression slightly
You worry too much
They look real nice and I would run them

No, 2V valves are in completely different locations relative to the notches

4v pistons usually have a smaller dish so do you know what the dish size is on that piston? 2vs are usually around -18cc dish those from a glance seem under -5cc..with those reliefs it could bleed off compression by a few ccs.

They would work and probably provide a bit higher compression as well....I gain 40 rwhp and to from stock gt pistons to -4.66cc cobra pistons..CR went from 9.6to1 to 11.34 to1....really wakes up the car bit would need a tune..
