Well nothing has gone smoothly with this project so far!!!!!

I took the stang to have it aligned today and they said it couldn't be done!!!!!WTF

It turns out that my Fittapaldi wheels have no lip on them and they can't mount there equipment to them.

So after playing phone tag for about an hour I found a shop about an hour away that has a newer style of equipment that works on all wheels.

So now after wasting a vacation day today I need to use another on thursday cause that is the soonest they can get it in!!!!!!!!!!

That sucks. I hate when I get myself to believe that modifications and upgrades will get done in the time frame I thought they would. Especially when it's out of my control. Like my rims I've been waiting on for over 3 months.... I WILL be happy when they get here, and I'm sure you will be happy with your car. It looks like it's about to handle on rails.

I agree I need more time and $ to mod my car. First I need to get a shop so I can work in the car and not get rained on LOL next I need a 2nd car or something to drive while my stang is being worked on . That day will come when I win the lottery LOL. Seems like when I start to work on my car I think it will be done within 1-2 days and then something happens a part doens't come or I have to get a new part so by the time it gets put back together its already 7 days in to the mod LOL.

I know exactly what you mean. I started doing my clutch by myself on a Monday, and finished Saturday night.

I worked 9-6 and I only had a few hours each night (M-F) to work on the car.

By Friday, I had the flywheel removed, and was ready to take it to a machine shop to get it resurfaced.

Finally I got someone to help me on Saturday & I finished it that night.

It will be worth a vacation day when your car is running straight and perfect. It will make the mods more enjoyable so take it out for a long spin and get the days worth out of it.

That sucks man you have had some bad luck with this project. But look on the bright side if it wasn't for bad luck you wouldn't have any luck at all(if you can call that a bright side) .

I know how ya feel. When I started my HCI project, i told myself it'd be done in 4-5 days, no problem. A stripped hole here, a gas leak there, broken regulators, and now im finally driving it 5 months later lol. It sucks, but it's sooo worth it when you got it running juuust right. Goodluck man.

Thanks guys,
I know it will be all worth it when she is done!!!

It will take some time to pay off the work I had done but I am already planning my next mods(3.73/3.55 gears, Cobra Brakes) hopefully sometime towards the end of the year!!!

Yeah I thought I would have my new hood on by now. I've been working on it for two weeks now, and I would have been done to. Sunday, we had just put the last coat of black paint on my hood when a hornet flew into it and rolled down the hood (the hood was hanging up). We tried spraying another coat on to see if it would run together, but no. So now I have to sand it again. Man, I hate bugs. Hopefully I can have the clear coat set for a day or so to harden, and put the hood on this weekend! But, plans don't often happen accordingly.
