I've decided to go forced induction on my 306 powered 1963 Fairlane. I'm gonna keep the boost minimal for street use. And supplement N2O for strip duty. My current combo is a balanced 306 with 8.5:1 TRW forged pistons, stock rods, crank, ARP hardware, Twisted Wedge heads, and an NOS Double- Cross plate system. Should I go with the Weiand 174 roots supercharger, or go with the Paxton Novi 1500?

personally i would go with the novi, but with the weiand there will be serious torque all the time which would be a blast to drive on te street, but if its seeing alot of track duty the paxton is a better choice. i have a novi 2000 on my car and it put down some sweet numbers but blew a head gasket on the dyno

From those 2 choices I'd say get the Novi.

The Weiand blower hasn't seen a signifigant update in 30 years or more. At least the Novi has had some modern R&D and benefited from it.
