now here's an exhaust question

This is not your typical exhaust question.

A buddy of mine has an 01GT just like mine cept' for white. now, before i bought my exhaust i new i wanted it to sound just like his, so I climbed underneath to have a little look. The ONLY thing i saw different from stock was the mufflers, so i figured if i put on the same mufflers, mine would sound that good. Well, Mine sounds great, but not at idle. When the engine is idling it sounds stock, but his sounds very manly. The H pipes look the same, the Tailpipes look the same, but his Exhaust tips are much bigger, if i put bigger tips on mine would that cause it too be louder at idle? Someone else told me that since his mufflers are 3 years old and mine are brand new that eventually mine will sound that way, but i just want a little more loudness at idle! Any suggestions/comments?

Anyway...tips may make it sound alittle more louder but i personaly dont think enought to make a BIG differnce. I would personaly just go get a new high flow H-pipe (or my prefernce is X). MOre power...better sound...equals the win...

This makes me think of the little hole at the bottom of each tailpipe of magnaflow... is that hole significant at all? what does it do?

Get a Mac off road H or even better a Mac Prochamber, that will make him want to match your exhaust note. Best sounding exhaust period with flows. [Strictly Opinion ]

I have just mac off road h, and the same flows you do also I have the stock tailpipes and its loud as ****, My girl said she could hear me from about 2 to 3 blocks away at WOT Let me know if you want to hear it before you buy the prochamber, I might be selling my H, women always get there way

I have seen people use Bassani baffles in the Magnaflow tips. The holes compared to the Bassani exhaust are roughly in the same position.
