For the past 6 months now, I got a part time job at American Muscle as a customer service rep. I didn't want it broadcast that I did for a couple reasons, but now that they put a video on youtube of my car with my name it seems kind of pointless to hide/deny it now.

-One, I didn't want people asking me to get them a discount.
-Two, I didn't want to become the Stangnet/AM liaison for all problems.
-Three, I didn't want my posts thought of as sales pitches. Granted i'll probably recommend products AM sells over other companies but I'm inclined to say thats because I have more first hand knowledge of product reliability and problems. So that being said, please take some things I would offer with a grain of salt as its not always easy to "turn off" work.

But back to the post at hand. Saturday we had a photo shoot with a bunch of models for the 2010 AM calendar. My car was asked to be in it. So of course i jumped on that. Turned out they couldn't get their vortech'ed 07 GT vert to do a safe burn out, it kept kicking out sideways towards the models. So I offered to do it. Here's the video:

I wasn't able to take pictures of the shoot as it was all a copyrighted closed shoot.

all and all, that was one hell of a day. Woke up cleaned the car, watched hotties hang all over mustangs. then went to my bachelor party and watched naked women hang all over me :D. of course there was plenty of booze involved.

1. Awesome video
2. Congrats on the wedding, mine is in 382 days not that I'm counting
3. Props to the model for not being able to see what was happening behind her and getting the job done. Not sure I would have liked that.
4. Props to you for having the balls to do that that close to the girl. I think I would have been nervous that close to someone that wouldn't be able to jump out of the way.
5. The car can start going sideways for several reasons. Its dangerous, especially in that situation, because the outside tire, which is now spinning slower due to the differential, can grab and the car can take off.

I'm not sure any one of us would enjoy you being the model either. :D

That's an awesome video, the burnout was great, second only to the few seconds we got to see of the girl standing up to look at the video.

Job well done! :nice:

Nate, I thought upper control arms help plant it in a straight line to keep the rear from swaying back and forth in that kind of hard straight line acceleration but i could be wrong.

and after i posted this, they wrote up some stuff on the AM blog. they posted some teaser shots of the models too. you can take a look there. but let me tell you, thats nothing compared to what they took.

thanks everybody for the comments.
