NX kit or supercharger?

I have been saving for a supercharger for a few months now and am starting to wonder how long its going to take to get the rest. I have also been thinking on scrapping the supercharger idea and getting a nx kit with a 100-125 shot. I only will be using the nx at the track so im not sure if I should wait and get a supercharger or go get the nx. What do you think? Pros and cons as well

Pros and cons I believe are pretty obvious. The supercharger will ALWAYS be there, nomatter what conditions. This could be good or bad, as you will always need to run premium fuel, but on the bright side you never need to activate it, and once you pay the upfront cost, there is really no cost afterwards.

Nitrous would be cheaper upfront ofcourse. You may or may not need to refill the bottle often, depends on your usage. You could run regular fuel if you want if you dont plan on using it for a while also. There is also the risk of intake backfires which I understand can be pretty devastating, but I'm not sure how often this is a problem.

IMO save for the supercharger. If you get one of the high output kits that can support upwards of 600hp, there is always room to upgrade with just a simple pulley swap, if the rest of your car can support it. I would go the nitrous route only if cost is an issue, otherwise go the supercharger route.

Here is a good read on the basics of forced induction, after you filter out some of the personal jibber-jabber. Hope it helps somewhat.

I feel your pain, I've tried for 2 years to save to buy a blower, but always end up spending the money on something else , not this time, after I get my new motor installed I am going to buy a blower even if I have to put it on a credit card at 12%.

OK I'll play
nitrous
Pros- Low buy in cost, lots of power when you want it, Stock power when you want that, Day to Day driving is a normal car, Don't have to worry if you let someone else drive it (take the bottle out), can run regular gas when not spraying.
Cons - Refilling bottle sucks, Don't have the power there ALL the time, Others look down on you for nitrous (never have gotten this one), people use as excuse as to why they lost, can be hard to tune, can have backfires ( have only seen happen or heard of with more than a 100 shot) , did I forget empty bottles suck, may or may not be legal in your area.

Supercharger
Pros- power all the time, sounds cool, looks cool, never empty
Cons - power all the time (think about bad weather and another 100+hp), may have to change other parts, may not be able to drive in winter ( some your not suppose to operate below 30 deg F), High buy in cost, need premium fuel all the time, if not properly tuned BAD things happen quickly. letting someone else drive it.

Ok that's what I think. Now what I'd like is a nice KB with a lil shot to back it up but that's me.

there really isn't "power all the time". just when in boost. you can take a superchargered car to 6000rpm without hitting boost if you only go part throttle like in normal driving.

A nitrous car is going to be making a lot more torque than a blower car of the same horsepower. It's torque that gets you down the track.....so in theory a 400 rwhp nitrous car is going to be faster than a 400 rwhp blower car.
