O/R x pipe back pressure?

i just bought a o/r x pipe with flowmaster 40's for my 2000 mustang gt auto. and when you get on the gas it really sounds like **** i was just wondering if it could be the exhaust back pressure if so what how do i fix this?

actually you just opened the system up all the way, what are you hearing when you let off the gas?

try a different muffler. A lot of people don't like the sound of flowmasters and an X-pipe. Sounds like you are one of those people

flows with o/r xpipes sound good at wot, and idle. half throttle sounds almost like an exhaust leak... i welded a set of universal cats on my bbk xpipe, and it sounds 100 times better, although, it wasnt as loud... thankfully the kennebell actually seemed to add a few decibels to it. or it might be my imagination...

Yep, I just got rid of the flows off my 96 gt because it sounded like ass with the new offroad x. I ended up ordering some dynomax ulta flows and its 1000 times better sounding.
