o/r x pipe

I started off with a bassani O/R X, then had to get cats welded in. After having it on a few years, I Just switched to an SLP X so I can bolt the cats in and out. The SLP sounds pretty mean but I definitely liked the tone of the Bassani a lot better.

Is there that big of sound difference between one of these and something like a UPR, or is it just the quality. Mine isnt getting driven in anything but summer sunshine and I can get it ceramic coated for next to nothing anywhoo!

Big sound difference because the size of each X pipe's chamber differs. Only a few brands are True-Xs. Bassani X pipe is not a true X. I think UPR or DrGAS makes a true-x. It's a true X when 2 pipes are cut a little on the curve and then welded together at that point. I still like the sound of my bassani O/R X.
