What is the 7th wire in the O2 sensor harness supposed to connect to? I have 3 per O2 sensor and an extra wire...

Could be the Oil level sensor on the side of the oil pan.

He is very likely correct, usually the 7th is a white / pink wire that is for the oil level sensor.

Pictures of wiring are mostly useless. I cannot tell what color the wire is, and the picture is poor quality and fuzzy too.

FYI, the wires aren't colored to look pretty. Electrical circuits in automotive wiring have a base color and a stripe color that helps identify the wire and what circuit they belong to. Without an accurate description of the wire color and stripe, it is very difficult to identify a wire.

That was just to show reference, that's the DS oxygen sensor clip. I really though it was black, but I didn't have access to the car when I linked that pic. I know why they use color coded wires...lol

After hopping under the car with some windex and a rag, I found it to be Yellow with a small red stripe.

Oh and my intake gasket just started spewing coolant everywhere after I retorqued the bolts, so I'm going to have a fun night. It's coming from the ds front coolant passage, looks like the gasket split...

That extra wire is for the oil level sensor.
