ok my prochamber is on it's way. will i need extensions? or can i just lengthen mine? i wasn't sure if one i need to do this or two i would screw up the function of the sensor by splicing. of course i would solder and heat shrink. any suggestions?

If you need to extend them I believe that soldering and heat shrinking would be fine. I don't see any reason why extending them would have an effect on the readings.

Actually, when i got my prochamber i had to get extensions and my friend just soldered it and heat shrink it and it work... the Service light turned off. the location on the 04 is different on than the 99-03.. just a heads up!!

yup 99-03's its closer towards the exhaust manifold. on the 04's its futher away.

ill probably just solder/heat shrink instead of buying the extenders (35 or so dollars :( )

be careful if you have an '03. ford is notorious for putting new parts on the last year of the old parts.. my '03 needed the drivers front extended. I just spliced in some wire and shrink tubed it.

These extenders, aren't they just MIL eliminators? Something you want to buy anyhow to turn off the CEL? My driver's side bank O2 sensor was a bit short. I got it plugged in but it was really tight. After I got the MIL eliminiators put on I had no problems.

Those are different from the MIL Eliminators. The stock H pipe on the 04s are a little different. I don't know why.
