Do you need to clear a code or prevent the check engine light from appearing in order to pass inspection? What city or state? What year 'stang do you have?

It might require several "drive cycles" instead of 200-300 miles. You will have to look up (Google?) how many "drive cycles" your car's computer/PCM requires - the requirements are based off what OBD II says is needed in order to "satisy" one drive cycle (ie - car driven for several minutes at X miles per hour, etc, etc). Perhaps someone knows this specific piece of information and can chime in for you.

In the meantime you could try disconnecting the battery, hooking it back up, and then go for several drives (even though it is an oxymoron based on the sticker/registration process for those states which require it).

G'luck!
