I've had a consistent idling problem and when I ran into a friend of mine whos huge into mustangs, he said my o2 sensors could be causing the idle surges. my symptoms are the bad idle, stalling on hard turns, and smelling gas really bad(although I don't have cats). iac..are not issue because they are all new. what o2 sensors are a good choice w/ my mods(in profile) and is there any way to tell if the o2 sensors I have are bad(running w/o no sensors at all?) Thanks!

I can see how you might have some unstable idle issues with what all you have done to your Stang.

The stalling on turns should not have anything to do with O2's.

Not saying your O2's are not bad but those things are not to be taken lightly when it comes to ... replace and see what happens kinda test ... simply because they are so expensive.

Unless you got stuff going on like bad electrical connections, v leaks, and the like, I'd say you need to have a reburn on that chip with the focus on drivability improvement.

ya, I'm trying to arrange that...I'm looking into a decent shop in MD. Kauffman Motorsports is what I'm thinking now.

I just picked up some O2's today. Got them for $40 each. Need to install them tomorrow. My current ones were extremely toasty. To the point where a wire brush struggled to take the soot off. Got some tuning to do with the new ones.

If yours are old replace them ASAP. The key to tuning our cars is the TPS being perfect and O2's that are in great shape.
