o2 Sensors

i got a new Bosch O2 sensor at AutoZone about a month or so ago for 49.99+ tax... as far as the dealership's price...that's why I only buy parts that other stores dont carry from the dealership...their prices are always outrageous.

for some reason, they kept asking me if I needed the O2 sensor "before or after the catalytic converter"...I bought the car with a cheap off road pipe on it so I don't know what the setup was stock, so that part kinda confused me. I just said before the cat because the bung is right near the header, with not even close to enough space for a cat...everything has worked fine since so I guess I picked the right one.

Sometimes the guys behind the counter will ask you if you want the up or down stream sensor.

It would seem to me they thought you had a sensor before the cat and one after the cat or they thought you had 4 total.

a side note if you will ......

Don talking about using LT headers is all about the fact that ......

Since the collector mounted bung is much farther from the heat than the original stock location, the O2 will be cooler and that can cause probs.

This can be very real as I've seen many have fits with this issue.

I did see my tune deteriorate a slight amount over a good bit of time. I suspected I might have had trouble in that area. I moved to closed loop idle and all was good to go.
