hello everyone, im new to this site, this is the second question i have posted, you guys were very helpful on the first one. i have a 1997 4.6 5 speed, i just completed the pi swap, i used the livernois cams, long tube headers, xpipe, the problem im having is that the check engine light comes on, i used my scan tool and i keep getting po430. the car runs very lean, wont idle most of the time, idles good when cold. when you stand behind the car the gas will burn your eyes, lol, can anyone tell me why i keep getting this code. do i need a tune? livernois told me with the cams i bought they didnt require a tune, well any help will be greatly appreciated. thanks!!!!!

Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 2)

Basically this means that the rear oxygen sensors are not working as efficiently as they should be...more than likely its just because since you changed your midpipe your rear O2 sensors need to be turned off cause this is what happens on all 96-04 mustangs when the midpipe is changed to an aftermarket one or there is an exhaust leak.. either buy mil eliminators or turn the rears off with a tuner.. correct me if im wrong guys

you should get a new tune with cams...your car will actually be able to idle with a tune and it will run waaaaay better :nice:

as for the exhaust burning your eyes  more than likely there is someone that can answer that question for you...
