OBD2 code P0357 questions

I have a error code, P0357- Ignition coil G Primary/Secondary circuit malfunction on my 99 GT with the 4.6. It occured on a dyno run. I had just installed new Summit coils. The dyno guys said the Summit coils suck and thats the problem. My question is which cylinder is it and should I replace all the coils with better units? Does anyone have a list which identifies on a 99 GT which coil is which letter? I read somewhere that the G coil was the second from the back on the drivers side.
Any help or advice is welcome!

All Data says that P0357 is a crank positioning sensor.

The book that came with my OBDII sensor shows codes between P0335 AND P0339 as a crank positioning sensor problem. Codes P0351 through P0362 are listed as ignition coil issues. I just need to know which cylinder is listed as "G".

The codes that you are telling me do not match what is listed in AllData for your year of car at all. The P0357 in AllData is for a crank positioning sensor.

well g is the cyl 7 so that would be second one from back on the driver side. switch the coil with another and see if the problem follows to a different cyl. thatll verify its a coil problem

I'm not sure what Alldata is. I am just going by what is in my OBDII manual and what I found online. I thought the purpose of OBDII was to use the same codes for all cars. Regardless, I recently had the crank position sensor replaced, so its worth looking at. I've just got a slight miss at high rpms.

ALLDATA is a online code reference guide that tells what each code means for each individual car. Some codes are not the same from year to year. If your book is not specific to just your car it could be very misleading. Check out ALLDATA - OEM Automotive Repair Information and Technical Service Bulletins it is not a free service but it is well worth it.
