When was the last time you changed your plugs/wires? If the misfire was a one time thing I wouldn't be too worried but to clear up any problems I would go ahead and change out the plugs and wires.slydog333 said:could the purge value be causing the missfire? Or should i just change my plugs and wires? Anyone!!!!
thanks
The plugs should be OK but go ahead and change the wires. If you want I'll pull out my manuel and tell you what you should test on the purge control valve.slydog333 said:I changed the plugs about 6 months ago never changed the wires..The car has 63000 on it. My check engine light use to go on and off but now it just stays on all the time. Thanks for all the help.
You can disconnect the battery...turn the key on and off a few times to drain any charge and leave disconnected for 30 minutes to be sure. Otherwise you can get the codes cleared with a code reader.slydog333 said:One more thing...How do i clear the codes? Thanks
