I have seen 2 different ways to run the serpentine belt. I want to change mine on my 2001 Bullitt. The sticker under my hood is different than the way it was run. The belt is not long enough to run it the way the under hood sticker says.

Has anyone seen a different way? car runs fine with the way it is run. what to do?

Can you post a picture? The arrangement of idler pulleys does make a difference. It might also help to post the length of the current belt.

The Bullitt came with a different length belth than a GT because of the larger water pump pulley. IIRC, it should be 94.7" long, but I don't know if Ford makes it anymore. I use a Goodyear 94.5" belt on mine.

I know on the sn95.0 cars there were two ways you could run the belt with the way it went over the water pump and idler but it did require different belt sizes. I'll see if I can find the picture of it

Sorry for the delay - had to move some things in the garage so I could get to the front of the Bullitt & open the hood. The diagram you linked to is exactly how my belt is routed.
