I am going to have to agree with Sleepy... I mean seriously, who gives a crap at this point? Who do you like more? It's quite clear that both are established names and are quality items. Get what ever floats your damn boat, or whichever you can get for cheaper.

As someone else has already pointed out, there has been nothing offered here except opinions which could be because there has never been a real comparison made between these pipes. I have seen, first hand, the quality of Magnaflow products and for that reason, I wouldn't hesitate to get the Magnaflow midpipe. The SLP is an unknown for me, but I would be surprised if there is a significant difference in flow between these two pipes. The stock H pipe is very restrictive and when I replaced mine with a BBK catted H, I picked up 30 RWHP because at the time I replaced it, the H-pipe was the primary restriction; I already had the blower, catback and headers installed. If I had replaced the H-pipe first I would have probably seen smaller gains with the H-pipe and something significant with the catback, but the total would have been the same. :nice:

i would think that the SLP should outflow the Magnaflow. the SLP is a true X-pipe like the Dr. Gas pipe. the Magnaflow is not. this is just my observation, i don't have the info to prove it.

thanks alot for all your opinions. it does matter because until the huge price increase i was going to go with magnaflow. however the slp is cheaper right from slp website, i don't have to go hunting all over for the cheapest pipe. i think its ashame that im forced to go slp due to this huge price tag of the mf xpipe. oh well i will still buy their catback unless that goes through the roof also.

I have the magnaflow catted-X and magnapack catback. I love the sound, but I want LT headers. So now I'm looking at getting a shorty off road x-pipe and long tube headers. No cats=more power. In Ohio its really easy to get collectors plates, therefore no cats needed.
